This is the Sardinia that we would like to tell you about, letting you know first of all about the territory of Planargia, in central north western Sardinia, between the lower valley of the river Temo and the northern slope of Montiferru. Within this territory between the sea and the mountains, in the village of Tresnuraghes (OR), stands our rural hotel, La Corte degli Ulivi.

The Corte degli Ulivi is located in Planargia, the region that owes its name to the elevated flat course of the territory. It will lead you by the hand through the green hills and the turquoise sea of the Coral Riviera, along the streets of the Malvasia di Bosa, a medieval town that is just a few minutes drive from us. As well as for its beaches, Bosa is also famous for having the only navigable river in Sardinia and for its carnival, a great attraction for tourists from all over Europe. We are only a few kilometres from the sea, from the golden sandy beach of Porto Alabe, from Columbargia and Punta Foghe, from the Malaspina Castle and from several nuraghe sites, in one of the most interesting naturalistic areas of the island, where a great variety of landscapes coexist in a restricted territory.

From Bosa and its colourful houses, like a painter’s canvas, you can reach Alghero, a Catalan town, along the panoramic coastal road, the scene of irresistible landscapes especially at sunset, so much so that it is proposed as a UNESCO heritage site. Along this route you can admire the evolution of the Griffons, the splendid vultures with a wingspan that can reach up to 3 metres. And then the volcanic walls of pink trachyte, the festival of the yellow of broom in spring which complements the intese blue of the sea. And on the evening back in your self-catering rooms at La Corte degli Ulivi, our rural hotel welcomes you among its gracefully knotted olive trees, and the scents of Mediterranean essences.
